This is a favorite after dinner dessert among my circles of friends here in Perth. It is so easy to make and it only require 2 ingredients. This is a short cut version – minus the shallots, as shallots is not only expensive in Perth, is also almost the same size as a brown onion in Singapore, thus I hardly buy shallots unless I have to. It is still yummy even though we don’t use shallots in it.
1 cup of glutinous rice flour
1 cup of water
1/2 tbsp of cooking oil
1 packet of Camel brand Ground Peanut Powder
Pour half packet of the peanut powder onto the serving plate.
Pour in the glutinous rice flour and water into a non-stick pan and cook over medium low heat. Stir the mixture with a spatula till it forms a soft, wobbly dough. Lower the heat and continue to cook the dough till it almost forming ball of dough, add in the cooking oil and cook till the sides are clean and form into a ball, remove to the serving plate.
pour in the remaining peanut powder on top and cut into bite size, serve hot!
